Refund & Cancellation Policy

Understanding refunds, cancellations, and bid returns on WinDash

Effective Date: May 5, 2026 | Last Updated: May 5, 2026

1. Overview

WinDash operates a unique online auction platform where users participate using bids obtained through subscriptions, Bid Booster packages, or one-time auction passes. Because our platform involves virtual bid credits, real-time auction mechanics, and time-sensitive participation windows, our refund policy reflects the nature of these digital services.

Please read this policy carefully before purchasing a subscription or one-time pass. By making a purchase on WinDash, you acknowledge and agree to the terms set out herein.

2. Subscription Plans

2.1 Subscription Overview

WinDash offers three monthly subscription plans:

  • Starter – $19/month – 146 bids added to your balance each billing cycle
  • Pro – $49/month – 386 bids added to your balance each billing cycle
  • Power – $89/month – approximately 700 bids added to your balance each billing cycle

Subscriptions automatically renew each month on your billing date. Bids are credited to your account at the start of each billing cycle.

Monthly Bid Rollover: At the end of each billing cycle, unused bids partially carry over to the next month as follows:

  • Starter: 30% of remaining bids roll over
  • Pro: 40% of remaining bids roll over
  • Power: 70% of remaining bids roll over

Bids that exceed the rollover percentage expire at the end of the billing cycle and have no cash or refund value.

2.2 Subscription Refund Window

You may request a full refund of your most recent subscription charge within 48 hours of payment, provided that:

  • You have not used any of the bids credited in that billing cycle, AND
  • You have not enrolled in any auction using bids from that billing cycle

If either condition above is not met, no refund will be issued for that billing cycle, as the service has been partially or fully rendered.

2.3 Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation:

  • Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period
  • No further charges will be made after the current period ends
  • Unused bids remain available until the end of your paid billing period. At cycle end, the standard rollover applies (30% Starter / 40% Pro / 70% Power) — bids beyond the rollover percentage expire and are not refunded
  • No pro-rated refunds are issued for unused days in a partially completed billing cycle
  • Cancellation does not remove you from auctions you have already enrolled in — you may still participate with your existing bids

2.4 Subscription Upgrade or Downgrade

Upgrades: When you upgrade to a higher subscription tier, the change takes effect immediately. The full bid allocation of the new plan is credited to your account at the time of upgrade, a new billing cycle begins, and your eligibility for a Bid Booster resets. No partial refund is issued for the remaining days on your previous plan.

Downgrades: When you downgrade to a lower subscription tier, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle. You retain access to your current plan and its bid allocation until that date. No partial refunds are issued for the difference.

3. One-Time Auction Passes

3.1 Eligibility — Who Can Purchase a One-Time Pass

One-time auction passes are available in two distinct circumstances:

  • Newly registered users who do not hold an active subscription may purchase a one-time pass to participate in a specific auction without committing to a plan
  • Active subscribers who have exhausted both their subscription bids AND their Bid Booster (if purchased) for the current billing cycle may purchase one-time passes for the remainder of that billing cycle, until their subscription renews

One-time passes are not visible or available to subscribers who still have subscription bids or Bid Booster bids remaining.

For pool-based auctions, one-time pass enrollment — like all enrollment — closes when 1 hour remains on the 24-hour countdown. One-time passes cannot be purchased for an auction once enrollment has closed.

3.2 How One-Time Passes Work

A one-time pass grants entry into a single specific auction and allocates 25 bids for use during that auction only. The pass fee ranges from $2.50 to $10 depending on the value of the auction item, and is displayed clearly before purchase. Unused bids from a one-time pass expire immediately when the auction ends and are not returned, carried forward, or refunded.

3.3 One-Time Pass Refund Policy

One-time auction pass fees are non-refundable once purchased, except in the following circumstances:

  • The auction you enrolled in never starts because the required bid pool was not filled within the designated timeframe (see Section 6)
  • WinDash cancels the auction for operational or technical reasons prior to the auction start

One-time passes are non-refundable once an auction has started, regardless of how many of your 25 bids you used.

Important: Unused bids from a one-time pass expire immediately when the auction ends and cannot be transferred, carried forward, or refunded.

4. Bid Booster Packages

4.1 What Is a Bid Booster?

A Bid Booster is a one-time supplemental bid package available exclusively to active subscribers who have used all their subscription bids for the current billing cycle. Boosters give subscribers additional bids to continue participating in auctions without waiting for their subscription to renew.

Bid Booster pricing and bid allocation by plan:

  • Starter Booster: $15 — 100 additional bids
  • Pro Booster: $25 — 150 additional bids
  • Power Booster: $45 — 300 additional bids

4.2 Booster Eligibility and Limits

  • A Bid Booster may only be purchased once per active billing cycle
  • The Booster available to a subscriber corresponds to their current active plan at the time of purchase
  • If a subscriber upgrades their plan mid-cycle, their billing cycle resets and they become eligible to purchase a Booster under the new plan, regardless of whether they purchased a Booster under their previous plan in the same calendar month
  • Booster bids are non-refundable once purchased
  • Unused Booster bids at the end of a billing cycle are subject to the same rollover rules as subscription bids (Starter 30%, Pro 40%, Power 70%)

4.3 Booster Refund Policy

Bid Booster purchases are non-refundable once any Booster bids have been used. If no Booster bids have been used, a refund request may be submitted within 24 hours of purchase by contacting billing@windash.com. WinDash will review such requests at its sole discretion.

5. Bid Credits – General Rules

5.1 Subscription Bids

  • Bids received through a subscription are non-refundable once credited, except as outlined in Section 2.2
  • Unused subscription bids that were not spent in an auction are returned to your balance after that auction concludes
  • At the end of each billing cycle, unused bids roll over at the plan-specific rate (Starter 30%, Pro 40%, Power 70%). The remaining percentage expires and is non-refundable
  • Upon cancellation, the rollover rule applies at the end of the final paid billing cycle; bids beyond the rollover percentage expire and are non-refundable

5.2 Auction Enrollment Bids

When you enroll in an auction, you pay a set number of bids (the enrollment fee) to secure your spot. The enrollment fee scales with the value of the auction item and is displayed clearly on each auction listing before you enroll. These enrollment bids:

  • Are non-refundable once the auction pool has been filled and the 24-hour countdown has started
  • Will be returned to your balance if the auction is cancelled by WinDash before the pool is filled
  • Will be returned to your balance if the auction pool never reaches the required threshold (see Section 6)

Rank-based enrollment discounts (Captain: 10%, Major: 20%, Colonel: 30%, General: 40%) reduce the bids you spend on enrollment, but do not affect refund eligibility.

6. Unfilled Auction Pools

For auctions valued over $100, the auction does not start until the required bid pool is filled. If a pool remains unfilled:

  • All enrollment bids paid by enrolled users will be automatically returned to their respective bid balances
  • One-time pass fees will be refunded in full to the original payment method within 5–10 business days
  • Subscription users will have their enrollment bids returned to their balance; no cash refund is issued for the subscription fee itself

WinDash reserves the right to extend the pool-filling window or cancel an auction if, in its sole discretion, it deems it necessary for operational reasons.

Note on pool overfilling: Once the minimum pool threshold is reached and the 24-hour countdown begins, additional users may continue to enroll until the 1-hour cutoff. Enrollment fees paid by these additional participants are non-refundable once the countdown has started, as the auction is confirmed to proceed.

7. Auction Wins – Physical Items

When you win an auction on WinDash:

  • You will be required to pay the final auction price to claim your item
  • Winning an auction does not automatically charge your payment method — you will receive a notification and will have 48 hours to complete the purchase
  • WinDash provides free shipping on all won items within the continental United States
  • If you do not complete the purchase within 48 hours, the item may be re-auctioned and your bid history for that auction may affect your standing on the platform
  • Refunds for physical items won at auction are subject to our item-specific return terms, which will be provided at the time of purchase. As a general rule, items are sold as described and returns are only accepted for items that arrive damaged, defective, or materially different from their listing description

8. Complimentary & Promotional Bids

Bids or auction passes received for free — including the two complimentary $10 gift card auction entries for first-time users (the second awarded only if the user does not win the first), referral bids, task-completion bids, or any other promotional awards — are:

  • Non-refundable and have no cash value
  • Subject to expiry as stated at the time of issuance
  • Non-transferable between accounts

9. Fraudulent or Disputed Transactions

If you believe an unauthorized charge has been made to your account, please contact us immediately at billing@windash.com. We will investigate promptly. Initiating a chargeback with your bank without first contacting WinDash may result in account suspension pending investigation.

10. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund eligible under this policy:

  • Email billing@windash.com with your account username, the transaction date, amount, and reason for the refund request
  • Eligible refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method
  • You will receive an email confirmation once your refund has been processed

11. Changes to This Policy

WinDash reserves the right to update this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
